Over many years, vinyl wash coat primers and etching style primers have been used successfully to help bond finishes to difficult metal surfaces like aluminum, hot and cold galvanized, stainless, copper etc. These traditional wash coat primers are very high in VOC content and rather hazardous to handle.
It is always our goal to develop and engineer products that perform to the highest industry coatings standard, while providing the safety and reliability that the market demands.
We are very pleased to introduce our new WCP2000 Waterborne Bonding Primer that we believe will replace traditional “wash coat” primers. This new primer has been vigorously field tested under various fabrication environments with outstanding results.
Our new WCP2000 is safer to use, easier to handle, provides safer container disposal, low VOC (only 166g/l 1.4 Lbs/g VOC) and is more competitive than traditional wash coat primers.
WCP2000 is supplied in a clear green tint, that applies easily by brush roll and conventional and airless spray. It will also spray exceptionally well in HVLP units.
This unique bonding primer is tack free in 30 minutes and may be re-coated in 2 hours, making it a very productive system for fabricators.
